MSW - Pyschotherapist

Our team offers a wide range of recreation and clinical services for individuals across the lifespan, specializing in innovative, interdisciplinary care rooted in Recreation Therapy and Social Work.
We are currently hiring a Registered Social Worker (MSW) with strong clinical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for working with diverse populations—including children/youth with disabilities and Autism, transitional-age youth, and adults navigating complex life transitions.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual, family, and couples counselling across the lifespan

Develop and deliver values-aligned therapeutic programming in collaboration with CTRS and Rec Therapy Assistants

Offer case management, support coordination, and goal planning for JJRT clients

Integrate recreation and leisure-based therapeutic interventions into mental health work when appropriate

Participate in program development, assessment planning, and community-based care

Maintain clinical documentation and uphold best practices in line with OCSWSSW and JJRT standards

Required Qualifications:

Master of Social Work (MSW) from a recognized institution

Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)

Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience in:

Working with neurodiverse populations and children/youth with disabilities

We work across the lifespan to help people reconnect to what brings them joy, meaning, and purpose—through recreation and relationship.
We are currently hiring a Recreation Therapy Assistant (RecTA) to support our growing client base with 1:1 and group-based therapeutic recreation services. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires warmth, creativity, professionalism, and a passion for helping others thrive.
What You’ll Do:

Deliver 1:1 and group-based recreation therapy sessions under the supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

Support individuals across the lifespan—including children, youth, adults, and older adults

Facilitate sessions in home, community, and JJRT settings, using recreation to promote autonomy, regulation, social wellness, and joy

Plan and implement customized leisure-based activities in alignment with each client’s goals and interests

Life Enrichment Specialist
At Jess Jones Recreation Therapy, we do things differently. We use recreation as a vehicle for healing, growth, and connection—and we build therapeutic relationships rooted in play, purpose, and presence.
We’re a values-driven team of Recreation Therapists, Social Workers, and Life Enrichment Specialists who support individuals across the lifespan through dynamic, creative, and client-centered care.
We are currently hiring two Life Enrichment Specialists (Respite Workers) to support children, youth, and adults with complex needs, including mental health challenges, dual or multi-diagnoses, and diverse developmental abilities.
Key Responsabilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group respite support to individuals with complex and high support needs

Use leisure-based strategies (art, movement, music, games, nature) to foster engagement, regulation, and joy

Work in a variety of settings: home, community, and at JJRT’s creative space

Collaborate with CTRSs and clinical staff to deliver cohesive, goal-based services

Build strong therapeutic rapport while upholding safety, dignity, and trauma-informed care

Document session notes and observations to support the care planning process

We're growing rapidly—and we’re looking for a skilled, strategic, and self-driven Marketing & Community Engagement Lead to help us communicate our mission, grow our reach, and convert awareness into action.
This is not a junior or support role—we’re seeking someone who can lead the design and implementation of a strong marketing and brand strategy, with measurable outcomes and long-term vision.
What You’ll Do:

Develop and lead JJRT’s marketing and community engagement strategy across digital, print, and in-person channels

Create, plan, and manage campaigns for program launches, services, and social enterprise initiatives

Oversee JJRT’s Wix-based website, including updates, SEO optimization, and user journey refinement

Develop and maintain a clear, consistent brand voice across all content (web, email, social media, outreach)
