About the event

Artivism is a creative practice that uses visual expression to raise awareness, inspire action, and connect people to the heart of social movements.

In this workshop, we’ll explore a local service or resource in our community that we believe deserves more attention. This could be anything from waste collection programs, transit services, food security programs, funding opportunities, or any other community service you are passionate about. Using what we’ve learned, we’ll create an original piece of art that communicates the importance of this service to others. Through this process, we’ll combine creativity with advocacy, using art as a tool to inform, inspire, and connect people to meaningful resources in our community.
