Live Music Spotlight: Featuring Mary Ashton

A violinist, a fiddler......it depends on the day, season, venue, or fellow musicians, Mary Ashton just loves to make music with her violin. Her elegant performances of delicate classical music can serve as a perfect backdrop for an event, or take centre stage as her technical skill and emotive playing shines through.  When more upbeat tunes are needed, hornpipes, jigs or reels aplenty, a dash of Greek or Arabic song and some soulful renditions of classics like "Summertime”, all spring from her violin with energy and joy.
