3L is for anyone ready to explore, create, and grow in a supportive environment. We value curiosity, kindness, and open-mindedness, and we ask that all members and participants bring this same spirit into our shared space. Our environment is particularly welcoming to those who value neuro-affirming spaces and a non-judgmental approach to social engagement.
Age & Participation:
Please note that due to the nature of our programs and the specific design of our space, 3L is currently for ages 13+ only. However, we believe in supporting individuals of all ages. If you would like to learn more about our specialized services and programs for children, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in person or via email.(https://www.jessjonesrecreationtherapy.ca/contact) We would be happy to discuss how we can support your family.

There would be tons of activities and events through the calendar. We invite you to send emails whenever inspiration strikes, and we will get back to you within 24–48 business hours.
No, these services are not included in the 3L membership, but we do offer them separately. It's important to distinguish between the 3L Leisure Community and our Clinical & 1:1 Services.
While 3L focuses on group connection and leisure education, Jess Jones Recreation Therapy (JJRT) provides a full range of specialized 1:1 support that can be booked separately: 1:1 Recreation Therapy: Personalized support for mental health, life transitions, and skill-building. You can choose to work with a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or a skilled Recreation Therapy Assistant (RTA). Available in-home, at our center, or in the community. 1:1 Counselling: Clinical support led by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) to navigate emotional and behavioral challenges. (Eligible for Extended Health Benefits). Respite & Companionship: Meaningful relief for caregivers led by our Life Enrichment Specialists (LES). These sessions focus on engagement and safety, available in 3-hour minimum blocks. (Eligible for SSAH, PASSPORT, and Flex Funds). Autism Connection Program: You can use your OAP funding to access any of these services. You can view our full list of clinical services here: https://www.jessjonesrecreationtherapy.ca/services(https://www.jessjonesrecreationtherapy.ca/services)
While our foundation is built on Therapeutic Recreation principles and our staff are trained professionals, 3L is a community center, not a clinic. We focus on leisure education and lifestyle engagement rather than clinical treatment.
Your "membership year" officially starts on March 14, 2026. That is Day One of your billing cycle and Day One of full access. Everything before that date is essentially bonus time on us.
The Leisure Learning Lab is all about exploration! If you find yourself drawn in a new direction after we start, let's talk about it. We're happy to adjust the "curriculum" or scope of our work. If this requires extra time or resources, we'll discuss any adjustments to the budget together before moving forward.
While some workshops are reserved for members to ensure privacy. However, our social spaces like the Community Café and the Seasonal Market are often open for you to introduce a friend to your 3L world. Also, we believe experiences are best shared. Explore our Lab Partners annual package.
Yes. We understand life happens. Speak to the admin team or your Guide. We’d rather pause your membership and welcome you back refreshed than have you cancel because you’re busy.
Absolutely. Many of our members start out solo. Spaces like the Café and the Co-Creation Space are designed to be comfortable for solo members. You are never truly "alone" here; you're just "solitary in company."
The Café functions like your favorite local coffee shop. While access to the space is a perk of membership, food and beverages are purchased à la carte. We curate the menu to be affordable and wholesome.
Generally, we ask that you enjoy our curated menu. However, if you have severe allergies or specific medical dietary needs that we cannot accommodate, please speak with us, we want you to be fed and comfortable, not excluded.
Yes, If you are looking for a private, quiet space for yourself, we offer specially designed Leisure Pods. These pods are perfect for deep focus, personal downtime, or whenever you need a moment of solitude away from the main energy of the space.
Accessing the Leisure Pods:
For Members: You have dedicated Pod hours assigned to you throughout the week as part of your membership benefits.
For Non-Members: We welcome non-members to use the pods as well! You can easily book your time by "adding to cart" through our website or at the counter.
Need More Time? If you are a member and have used your assigned hours, or if you simply want more time for yourself in the pods, you can purchase additional sessions at any time.
Absolutely. The Café is designed as a "third place." You are welcome to bring your laptop. If you need a "body-doubling" vibe (working alongside others), we also highly recommend the Co-Creation Space sessions!
It depends on the program. Drop-in spaces like the Co-Creation Space or Game Room are flexible come when you can! Specialized workshops like Small Comforts or The Culinary Studio often require registration so we can prepare enough materials.
You are exactly who we designed this for! Our programs prioritize process over perfection. You don’t need to be an artist to make art here.
