Jessie Jones, CTRS, is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, artist, musician, and chef. Founder of JJRT, she blends creativity, radical care, and evidence-based recreation therapy to help individuals and communities reclaim leisure as a tool for healing, identity, and social change. Jessie’s work bridges clinical practice, education, and advocacy, challenging conventional models through bold, values-driven leadership.

Sascha Maurer - he/him
Recreation Therapy Assistant
Sascha has been a Recreation Therapist Assistant with JJRT for over three years, beginning as a student at Algonquin College. With a background in Developmental Services and a passion for inclusive, tech-based interventions, Sascha specializes in using games—video games, tabletop role-playing, and board games—as powerful therapeutic tools. He is the creator of a gamified planner designed to support neurodivergent individuals and was awarded first place in a regional pitch competition for this innovation. Sascha brings creativity, compassion, and a deep understanding of accessibility to every JJRT experience he facilitates.

Adriena Thompson - she/her
Life Enrichment Specialist
Adriena is a graduate of the Occupational and Physiotherapy Assistant program at Algonquin College ('24) with a strong foundation in occupational therapy assisting and developmental services. She brings compassionate, hands-on experience from a variety of settings—including OT and PT clinics, group homes, and in-home care—supporting individuals in reaching their functional and leisure goals.
Adriena is passionate about empowering people to engage in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life. Her warm, adaptable approach fits seamlessly with JJRT’s values of connection, creativity, and curiosity. Outside of her professional work, Adriena loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, and trying new experiences that spark joy and adventure.

Benji Consiglio - they/them
Digital Facilitator & Recreation Therapy Assistant
Hey, I’m Benji. I am interested in co-creating affirming, inclusive spaces where people can expand, express, and connect through play. My style is artistic, reflective, and vulnerable. My education lives in books, bodies, conversations, and lived experience. My own leisure looks like making colorful, intricate art, having long talks about everything and nothing, and dancing with reckless abandon.

With a background in visual storytelling and digital strategy, Trishagni captures impactful moments, builds community through engaging content, and drives the organization’s online presence, highlighting the people, programs, and values that make JJRT truly special.

Digital Marketing Project Manager
Sahil Padhiyar is the Digital Marketing Project Manager, Video Editor, and Sound Recordist at JJRT. With a background in multimedia production and digital communication, Sahil brings stories to life through powerful visuals, strategic campaigns, and immersive sound. His work supports JJRT’s mission by amplifying voices, promoting programs, and highlighting the creativity and resilience within the community.

Brooke Leduc - she/her
Recreation Therapy Assistant
As a Recreation Therapy Assistant, I am passionate about supporting individuals in finding meaningful leisure experiences that spark creativity, build confidence, and nurture a sense of belonging. With a background in Early Childhood Education and Development and ongoing professional development in areas such as Supporting Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health, and Montessori Teaching, I bring a strong foundation in adapting activities and fostering inclusive environments.
I am committed to lifelong learning and continually seek opportunities to expand my knowledge to better serve the individuals I work with, often drawing on my love for art, music, and creative expression to design programming that inspires connection, self-discovery, and fulfillment.

Sydney Fletcher - she/her
Life Enrichment Specialist
I’m currently in school for Thanatology and Psychology and plan to pursue a masters in social work. I enjoy listening to and playing music, going for walks outside, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m constantly looking for ways to challenge myself and learn more. I look forward to creating more meaningful connections and partnerships.
