Experience Overview
Painting with Music is an immersive, facilitated experience where sound becomes the guide and paint becomes the response. Rather than focusing on technique or outcome, this session invites participants to translate music into color, texture, movement, and mark-making. Participants are encouraged to listen with their whole bodies noticing rhythm, tone, emotion, and silence and allow the music to shape how they paint. There is no right way to respond. Fast, slow, messy, minimal, layered, or restrained expressions are all welcome. The music shifts throughout the session, offering contrast, surprise, and space for personal interpretation. This experience offers space to: Explore music as a creative and emotional prompt Let go of overthinking and perfection Experiment with paint as movement, not product Notice how sound influences mood, energy, and expression The session closes with optional reflection through conversation, writing, or quiet noticing inviting participants to consider what emerged when control was softened and listening led the way. Painting with Music is for anyone curious about creating differently, feeling more deeply, and experiencing art as a live, responsive act rather than a finished piece.

Cancellation Policy
JJRT Booking Policy At Jess Jones Recreation Therapy, we value your time and our commitment to providing meaningful, uninterrupted care. To maintain a supportive and respectful experience for everyone, we ask all clients to review and follow the policy below: Booking Appointments All sessions must be booked in advance. Appointments can be scheduled online, by email, or by phone. A confirmation will be sent once your session is secured. Cancellations & Rescheduling We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel and an hour to reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. We understand that life happens. We’ll do our best to reschedule your session within the same week if availability allows. Late Arrivals Sessions will end at the scheduled time, even if you arrive late. Arrivals more than 15 minutes past the scheduled time may be considered a no-show and billed accordingly. Payment Payment is due at the time of service unless arranged in advance. We accept e-transfer, debit, and credit. Receipts are available upon request for insurance or personal use. Accessibility & Support Needs JJRT welcomes individuals of all abilities. If you or your family member require accommodations or additional support, please let us know in advance so we can prepare to meet your needs. Weather & Emergencies If JJRT needs to cancel due to weather or an emergency, there will be no charge, and we will contact you directly to reschedule.
