Experience Overview

Art for People Who “Aren’t Artistic” is a facilitated unlearning session designed for anyone who feels intimidated by a blank canvas. This is a space for the non artists, the bad drawers, and the perfectionists in recovery to explore materials without the weight of expectation. We trade the pressure of talent for the simple joy of sensory play. The session focuses on low stakes materials that are easy to move, change, or even mess up to help you move past creative hesitation. There are no critiques, no masterpieces, and no rubrics. Instead, we use gentle prompts to help you notice the feeling of the brush, the texture of the paper, and the relief of making marks that don’t have to be anything. It is an invitation to experience art as a form of leisure and regulation rather than a performance of skill.
