Creative Writing Club W/ Evy (Youth Led)
Peer-led, process-driven: Exploring our worlds through ink and insight.
Experience Overview
If you have a million stories in your head and just need a place to put them, you belong here. This workshop is part of a twelve week residency led by Evy Chillman, a young writer who loves a bold imagination and a deep love of storytelling. What to Expect This is not a boring school assignment. We focus on writing as a practice, which means trying out new ideas and taking creative risks without the fear of a grade. Through guided prompts and shared exercises, we will explore how characters, settings, and your own lived experiences can turn into stories on the page. Exploring the Craft: See how stories take shape through voice, setting, and plot. No Pressure: The atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging. You can write individually, and sharing your work with the group is always optional. Creative Freedom: Use imagination and observation to experiment with different ways of telling stories through reflection and group exercises. The Details Day: Every Thursday Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Ages: 13 to 15 Whether you are already filling notebooks or just want to see what happens when you pick up a pen, come join us. We cannot wait to see where your imagination takes you.
