Gentle Body Movement
Beyond the 'burn': A space for rest, reflection, and regulation.
Experience Overview
Gentle Body Movement is a facilitated leisure education session that uses slow, accessible movement to support body awareness, nervous system regulation, and reflective integration. Rooted in therapeutic recreation, it reframes movement as leisure—not fitness, performance, or productivity. Participants engage in adaptable movement, guided reflection, and intentional pauses to notice how the body holds stress, rest, and transition. Offered monthly, alongside a Closing the Month session, it helps participants release what has passed and orient toward what is emerging. This class supports embodiment, emotional regulation, leisure confidence, and a compassionate relationship with the body.
